ORB-031 – O-Ring, -031, BUNA

The AqMatic ORB-031 is a Buna-N O-ring used in diaphragm valve assemblies and internal rebuild kits for water treatment, filtration, and industrial flow control systems. It functions as a sealing component within the valve assembly, helping maintain pressure integrity between internal chambers during valve cycling.

This configuration uses Buna-N (Nitrile) elastomer, a material commonly selected for standard water treatment and industrial fluid handling applications because of its durability and resistance to oils and general process fluids. Buna O-rings are widely used throughout V42 diaphragm valves and K53 series valves because they provide reliable sealing under repeated cycling conditions.

The ORB-031 specification corresponds to a specific O-ring size and groove profile used within AqMatic valve assemblies, including V46-series and other larger diaphragm valve configurations. Proper O-ring fit is critical because diaphragm valve operation depends on maintaining separation between pilot and flow chambers. Incorrect sizing can lead to pressure loss, inconsistent actuation, or internal leakage.

This component is commonly replaced during rebuilds alongside diaphragms, springs, and internal hardware in systems using V42 diaphragm valves, K53 series valves, and automated sequencing systems controlled through stagers.
