ORA-210 – O-Ring, ORA-210, AFLAS

The AqMatic ORA-210 is an Aflas® replacement O-ring designed for use in compatible AqMatic diaphragm valve assemblies and industrial sealing applications where enhanced chemical and temperature resistance is required. This seal is commonly used in demanding process environments where standard elastomers such as Buna-N may not provide sufficient long-term durability.

Aflas® is a specialty fluoroelastomer known for its resistance to aggressive chemicals, chloramines, acids, steam, high temperatures, and harsh industrial process conditions. Because of these characteristics, the ORA-210 is often selected for industrial water treatment, chemical processing, regeneration systems, and specialty fluid-control applications where seal integrity is critical under elevated stress conditions.

The “-210” designation references the standardized O-ring sizing specification used across industrial sealing systems, allowing maintenance teams and operators to match the correct seal dimensions during valve rebuilds and preventive maintenance procedures.

In diaphragm-operated valve systems, O-rings play a critical role in maintaining internal pressure separation, preventing leakage, and supporting consistent valve cycling performance. Over time, seals may degrade due to chemical attack, compression set, thermal cycling, or age-related hardening. Replacing worn O-rings with the appropriate elastomer helps maintain reliable valve operation and reduce unplanned maintenance issues.

The ORA-210 is commonly used in systems involving automated filtration equipment, softeners, regeneration skids, industrial process-water systems, and pneumatic or hydraulically controlled diaphragm valves operating in more chemically aggressive environments.
