The AqMatic AquaMatic V42B-0032-00000 is a 3/4 inch diaphragm valve configured as normally closed with spring assist closed operation, meaning the valve defaults to a closed position and uses spring force to support shutoff when control pressure is removed. This is a functional distinction from standard normally closed valves and is specifically selected in systems where positive shutoff must be maintained under low or fluctuating pressure conditions.

Built on the V42 series diaphragm valve platform, this valve uses a diaphragm to separate the control chamber from the flow stream, allowing actuation through pilot pressure while maintaining efficient flow characteristics. The y-pattern body design provides a large seat opening and high lift disc, enabling higher flow rates with lower pressure loss compared to more restrictive valve geometries.

This configuration uses standard Buna-N diaphragm, seals, and disc materials, along with brass and stainless steel internal components. Unlike special (00SX) valves, this unit has no drilled or tapped bosses and no solenoid configuration, making it a true baseline mechanical configuration within the V42B lineup.
